Tell us how you first met? who what when where why? give us the dirty details.

As told by Bianca: Bryant and I met at happy hour in 2012. He was working for the same company I had been working for earlier in the year, and I still maintained contact with a few people after I had left. I was invited out to have a drink with the group and reluctantly went. Little did I know this would be the first time I would meet the love of my life. Bryant will admit he thought I was a “jerk”, but I still think he kind of liked me– he would not let me leave early that night!

Fast forward to a month later: we had run into each other a handful of times since that first meeting, but nothing (not even exchanging phone numbers) had happened. Both of us will tell you that neither one of us were looking for a relationship. Another Friday had come, and a stressful workweek led us to the same happy hour yet again. It was at this point that I think we hit it off. Through a turn of events, we exchanged numbers, and Bryant called me the next day to hang out. Although I already had plans, I made some adjustments so I could hang out with that tall, dark, and handsome man.

We had our “official” first date a week later (which was more like a first date weekend) where were spent that Saturday night hopping around from a sports bar to a wine bar to a hibachi restaurant to a nightclub. It was the most amazing date because it was spontaneous, fun, and I felt so effortlessly comfortable with him. Those who know Bryant know he has a magnetic energy and radiant spirit– I just wanted to be around him all of the time.

When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did?, etc.
Bianca: I honestly can’t pinpoint an exact moment… all of my best memories are with him so it always just feels like he’s been there by my side.
Bryant: Our 2nd date at the zoo was probably when I knew. We laughed at each other’s silly jokes (ones we still laugh about now). She was just so easy to talk to and laugh with. At no point did I feel like I had to be anything other than myself.

Tell us about the proposal. (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning?, how did you feel? nervous, excited, freaking out?)

As told by Bianca: As our 2 year anniversary approached, I was starting to get anxious as to when Bryant was going to pop the question. We had also gone to 9 weddings over the course of our relationship and the curiosity was starting to set in as to when I would be the next in line. Getting married was something that we had talked about as an obvious outcome… but not as something that was definitely going to happen soon.

We had trip scheduled to the Dominican Republic to celebrate our anniversary, and I thought, “will he do it there?”. The 2 weeks leading up to our trip, Bryant had been spending a lot of time working late and making plans that excluded me– I really didn’t think he was ring shopping! Eventually, I broke down in tears, upset that we weren’t spending any time together. He assured me that weekend we would spend quality time together and go to dinner.

Saturday, September 27th, I woke up to 2 roses on my nightstand with a card that outlined the activities to the day. Each card was numbered 1 through 12, each with a reason why he’s grateful I’m in his life. We went about our day getting massages, running errands, etc. We left for dinner- which turned out to be a recreation of the events on our “first date”. There was a rose waiting for me at the wine bar (#10) and at the restaurant (#11), and I was so sad that #12 would be the end of our date day. After a series of mishaps (primarily attributed to the rain), Bryant walked me to a secluded courtyard where there was a table, champagne, candles, and rose #12. I’m sure you can figure out the rest! I can honestly say that I was not expecting the day to end that way, but I’m so happy that it did.

Tell us the one thing you love most about each other.
Bianca: I love Bryant’s charisma. He’s my best friend. We have so much fun together doing everything and nothing at the same time. Plus, he’s really easy on the eyes.
Bryant: She’s so silly. She’s so beautiful and everyone thinks we’re so well put together, but we joke around a lot. We were secretly making fart jokes at the altar to calm each others nerves and keep me from crying.

If you feel comfortable, share with us something silly or quirky the other person does.
Bianca: We have a lot of inside jokes which Bryant usually repeats in really bad accents/voices. They’re so funny to me but I’m sure everyone around us thinks we’re ridiculous.
Bryant: Bianca falling asleep is a process. I have to make sure a bunch of things are done before I can get into bed (i.e. fan on, blanket ready, her leg pillow has to be there, pillow pets) and then she weaves her legs through mine and has to touch me with the other foot. She looks like a starfish but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Besides getting married – whats the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?
Bianca: Being surrounded by our closest friends and family members. We love to have fun and dance, so to have everyone we love around us was really exciting. Also, I had been keeping it a secret that we were having Burnie from the Miami Heat come to hype up the crowd during our ‘hora loca’— The Heat are Bryant’s favorite sports team so I knew he’d be really excited by the surprise!
Bryant: I was looking forward to seeing her walk down the aisle for the first time. I’d thought about that moment for so long and couldn’t wait to experience it. The anticipation was killing me.

Tell us how you first met?
Jessica: Nick and I met at work 9 years ago. I was a Police Officer working the detail at the country club he was a bouncer in. I had no idea he was interested in me. I don’t flirt while on duty so I was clueless when he tried to woo me with ”Sup.” I thought he was asking me “What’s up?”

When did you know he/she was the one?
Jessica: I knew Nick was “the one” right away. I just remember feeling like I could not let him go, like this was meant to work and be. It was a different feeling. He was all I thought about- day in and day out. He was loyal, not into playing games, was attentive, and was there for me when my nephew and mom got sick with Cancer. He could’ve left me with all that baggage, but he chose to stay by my side and I am eternally grateful for that.

Tell us about the proposal. (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning? how did you feel? nervous, excited, freaking out?)
Jessica: I knew we were going to be engaged soon because we talked about it. We went to Disney’s Epcot Food and Wine Festival in September 2014. I wasn’t nervous, but he took forever to ask lol. We actually got engaged right after a fight. He opened the ring box and placed it onto the table for me to see. We fought again because I told him that was not the way to propose. He took the ring out of the box, got on both knees, and begged for me to marry him.

Jessica: What I love most about Nick is his great heart. He is such a good person, its amazing.

Jessica: Without fail Nick always runs his feet over with a shopping cart…even when its not me pushing it 😊. As for me, I guess I’m a happy drunk. Apparently, when I’m drunk I like to high-five strangers. That’s how our photographers remembered me lol.

Jessica: Having fun with friends and family and trying to control my high-fives…

I was out for my best friends going away party in Hoboken and Trevor was out for after work drinks with his coworkers. Us girls were just having a great time dancing at our favorite little bar McSwiggans, but one friend noticed a “hot guy” looking our way. So this one friend decided it was a great idea to push me into him. When I apologized for my friend, he said the famous words “why don’t I just introduce myself to you?” and we spent the rest of the night dancing and drinking Magners. It was one of my favorite nights! He actually left without getting my number, then came back and asked me for it. AND he even texted me the next day! It took a while for our schedules to match up and hang out again but it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with him.

I think we both knew the week of Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey( only knowing each other 2 months) Trevor lived in Hoboken and I lived in North Brunswick, I kept hearing on the news that Hoboken was going to be flooded and they were shutting down the turnpike. I called Trevor and said he had to let me know if he was staying in Hoboken or if I should pick him up, he chose to come stay with me in North Brunswick :) He got “stuck” at my house for a week, some days with no power, and no make up for me. But mostly laughing and getting to know each other. I can remember him saying “i feel like you want to tell me something” and tricked me into saying ” i love you”

We took a trip to Turks and Caicos, for my “graduation” When we arrived at the bungalow where we would be staying, we were greeted by a very friendly staff that kept asking if they could take pictures of us, ( I just thought they were giving us fabulous customer service) when we arrived in our room I saw the bed that had ” Deirdre, Will you Marry me” spelled out in the local flowers.( I still have them in a vase) I was totally surprised and of course cried. The staff followed us in the room, so I have a video and tons of pictures of our special moment!

Tell us how you first met? who what when where why? give us the dirty details.
Richard has always been friends with Michelle’s brother, Eddie, but the two never officially met until December of 2013 during a Bible Study.

For Thanksgiving 2013, Michelle’s parents came down from Clearwater and made a thanksgiving dinner at Michelle’s apartment in Miami. The whole family was there, including Michelle’s brother, Eddie, and his wife, Vanessa. Michelle started telling Vanessa about how she was recently saved by God’s Grace after a rough fall semester. Vanessa brought up the idea to Michelle about visiting her church, House of Hope Church in Oakland Park, and mentioned they were a few single men attending, one specifically Richard. Michelle vaguely remembered Richard from Eddie and Vanessa’s wedding, but never remembered being officially introduced. Vanessa started boasting about Richard, and how he’s a great catch. Michelle just laughed it off. The last thing Michelle was searching for was a relationship.

In the next coming days, Eddie and Vanessa brought up Michelle’s situation to their Pastor, Danny, who thought it would be a great idea to invite Michelle to a Friday night Bible Study. Danny also happened to be one of Richard’s closest friends. As the group of friends pondered, they thought what similar personalities Richard and Michelle had and thought maybe they’d be able to hit it off at the Bible Study. Danny mentioned the idea to Richard. But Richard also laughed it off. Richard was super picky and had been single for many years.

Despite both their hesitation for a new relationship, they both made sure they were looking their best just in case. It was Friday, December 6, 2013 – the day of the Bible Study. Michelle was taking exceptionally long to get ready, and Richard went to the mall to find a new outfit. It was a small Bible Study that Danny and his wife, Yve, hosted at their home in Tamarac. Being newly Christian, Michelle was excited to learn about the Bible and spent most of the night asking Danny questions about what she didn’t understand. As the night went on, Michelle and Richard didn’t have much interaction. When the night ended, Richard and Michelle got in their seperate cars and took off. As they approached a common stop sign, Richard and Michelle’s cars stood side-by-side waiting for the traffic to ease to make their turns. As they stood there, little did they know that they both had intentions to roll down their windows to start a conversation. But they both became too nervous and ended up driving off before they could build up any courage.

The next morning, Richard built up the courage and FaceBook messaged Michelle. Apparently, Richard had “friend requested” Michelle weeks ago but Michelle never responded to it so it remained pending. Being Richard, he sarcastically messaged Michelle “I sent you a friend request and you never accepted me. I bet you don’t want to be my friend!” Not expecting to hear from Richard that morning, Michelle smiled and was especially happy that he had contacted her. They spent the whole day texting back and forth, and found out fairly quickly how perfect they were for each other.

When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did?, etc.

Michelle: I knew he was the one when we were driving in the car together after our first date, and a car cut him off. He had the ultimate road rage and started screaming at them. At that moment, I felt like I finally found someone who understood me. It wasn’t necessarily the road rage, but the amount of stuff we had in common. Two days later when I drove to Clearwater to see my parents, I told my mom that I thought I had found my future husband.
Richie: Just the way everything was set up. The way I met her, the way she’s my good friend’s sister, the way that I was so close to her family without even meeting her yet.

Tell us about the proposal. (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning?, how did you feel? nervous, excited, freaking out?)

Michelle: I had no idea it was coming. Richie is old school. He had pulled my dad aside at my niece’s birthday party and asked for his blessing to date me. So I knew he would be asking my dad for my hand as well. Since my parents live in Clearwater I knew it would difficult for Richie to ask my dad in person. After three months of dating, Richie had asked my dad one time when my parents came down. He asked my dad to an early breakfast while I was still sleeping. So I had no clue he had the opportunity to ask my dad. Two months later, he proposed on a cruise ship we took with my brother and his wife. After dinner, he had placed the ring in a towel made heart. He was so nervous he couldn’t even get the words out. It was so cute and exciting.
Richie: I was a little bit nervous and excited. Nervous because I had to speak to her father and brother to get their blessings before I could go forward. Proposing was the hardest thing I had to do because I was asking the women that was destined to be with me to be my wife.

Michie: I was looking forward to seeing all my family that flew in from New York. There was a terrible blizzard that cancelled a lot of my family’s flights. So family was scurrying to find other flights. I was so excited that most were able to make it.
